Paan Rolls
Ever since I've discovered the joy of eating betel leaves
(paan) in exciting ways, there's no end to my experimenting. Right from
Chocolate Paan, Chocolate Paan Bites and Paan Shots, to now Paan Rolls, the
list is growing. This one is great as just a cool, refreshing appetizer or a
sweet ending to a meal. Any way, it satisfies my sweet cravings. My friends
just love the different creations with paan. Finally, we've all found a healthy
solution for our sweet cravings.
Ingredients
Paan (Betel leaves) – 5 (big sized Calcutta paan)
Paan sweet mix (green coloured) – 1 tbsp
Dessicated dry coconut – 1 tbsp
Date paste – ½ cup
Fennel (saunf) – 2 tbsp
Betel nut (supari) clippings – 1 tbsp
Method
Soak dates in water just enough to cover them
Let it remain for about an hour or more
Blend it to form a paste
Add all the ingredients to the paste and mix well
Make rolls
Decorate with coloured saunf, dessicated coconut or
chocolate sprinkles
Refrigerate for about 15 mins
Serve as an after-meal digestive or dessert
Refrigerate the remaining if any
